Excluding files by extension

Maybe I don’t understand how these rules apply, but I was uploading my folders from the first time, and after a while seeing how slow it goes I decided to exclude .psd files. So I went to my ignore list, added *.psd (don’t upload don’t download), applied changes, even restarted Insync, came back to the syncing progress and it still syncs .psd files…

How am I supposed to do this properly?

Ok so, what I think it’s happening is, the rules don’t apply retroactively, because they’re working for .psd files that I add after I apply the rules.

Is that right?

@johnRivs: Yes, the ignore list only applies to new files added to your Insync folder. Existing files will still be synced.

Is there a way to get around this? Let’s say I wanna include my .psd files again (after they’ve been synced). So I remove the rule from the ignore list and then what? Do I go folder by folder searching for .psd files, cut them, paste them somewhere else and then move them back?

I’m getting tired just from thinking about it.

@johnRivs: There is none currently, apologies for the trouble.
