Having pointed Insync at an existing Google Drive setup, it proceeded to duplicate literally thousands of my Google Photos. And now, it’s duplicating it’s own duplicates.
Having googled, I know that you’re just going to say “Please send us your logs.db and out.txt”, so this is really just to tell you “No” - this is clearly an issue with Insync that you’ve not been able to solve, and so I’m going back to Google Drive. Once I’ve sorted the mess you’ve made of my files.
There really, really ought to be an option to ‘sync only new or updated files’. As with, for example, an app called FastCopy. Unfortunately, however, there is no Linux version of FastCopy, nor is there a way that I can see to make it play nice with Google Drive the way Insync does.
I really believe Insync is brilliant. And not expensive. But this duplication issue, when for example, it is placed on a new computer using the same account, or needs to be reinstalled for some reason, is a right pain in the backside.
Is anyone back at the ranch actually working on this issue (and, yes, I did send in my logs, for what it is worth, though I cannot see why that was necessary)?
