Files created by eBook publisher (Google Drive API) appear with datetime info after file extension

Publishing company “The Pragmatic Bookshelf” allows you to send your purchased ebooks directly to your google drive account. I can see all those titles perfectly on the web, and even perfectly listed in InSync, but when I go the the synchronized folder, all those titles appear with more info than they should in the extension.

For instance: “Driving Technical Change.epub” becomes “Driving Technical Change.epub20150706-14751-1vopxe9”

As do all other formats like .mobi or .pdf in that same folder.

The folder (“My Pragmatic Bookshelf”) was created by the publisher after granting them access to my drive account.

If I rename the extension manually, the file is perfectly viewable. After renaming it, that title appears in InSync’s list several times (4 times each format), but it looks ok on google drive (web) and the synchronized folder.

Hope this helps

I will tag our engineer @marte in this and see if he has something to say about this

Hello @Alexandre_Madurell, that seems really weird. We’ll check out what “The Pragmatic Bookshelf” does different to see if we can have a workaround about this.

Thanks for reporting this.
