Files with double quotes in their names cannot be synced and cause "no such file or directory" error

Hi,

In drive I once created a document with double quotes in the name, as in:

File name with “double quotes”

This never appeared to be a problem in Drive: nor in the browser, nor locally using the Windows Drive app. Now after installing insync on Ubuntu and syncing files I receive a “no such file or directory” error. A quick fix is to rename the file to ie.:

File name with ‘single quotes’

Also, when testing I renamed the file a few times (directly in Drive in the web browser) and noticed that the file got moved to the trashcan. The insync Feed says:

You removed “File name”.gddoc from Directory name

Hello @lmeurs,

My apologies for the hiccups. Please send us your logs.db and out.txt to support@insynchq.com. Also, please include the link of this post.

Thank you for your understanding.

After contacting Insync’s support desk it appeared to be a problem with the file being stored on a NAS drive, mounted using CIFS. Whenever I manually rename a file with a double quotes character in the name, the file automatically gets renamed to some scrambled name like TC4BE7~K.

Will look into the cause, thanks Insync for your swift replies!
