First sync takes a loooong time to start downloading

I have a pretty large amount of data stored in my Google Drive, and the initial syncing takes a painful amount of time to evens starts downloading files (the last time i checked it told me 428455 files queued, which was after a day and a half of running). Since I actually only need to sync a much smaller portion (maybe ~100GB from a couple different folders), I was wondering if there’s any way to tell insync to disregard all other directories in Drive and to focus on the couple that I need to sync. I’m running insync-headless on CentOS 7. Thanks!

Hi @cnys_ Insync currently tries to detect the whole drive for changes. Did you use selective sync upon setup?

@cnys_: Try using the manage_selective_sync command. You can call it with ./insync-portable manage_selective_sync your@email.com.

Every time I’ve tried to sync, that’s always the first thing I do after adding my account. To make it easier, I’ve also tried simply unchecking everything in the selective sync menu.
