Have to restart to get file syncing to occur

I’m using insync in the following manor;

EXT4 file system with insync-headless monitoring a directory on it, that directory is being shared out over NFS, AFP, and SMB protocols. Most of the time when a file is written it’s uploaded, however quite often I find that I have to stop and restart insync in order to get it to sync the files up - kinda like kicking it. The insync-headless responds to commands so it’s not “dead”…

What is the right solution to make this work without having to intervene? Also I don’t need a “:smiley: my engineer will get back to you” post please. Just real answers :smile:

@Brian_Hellman: Apologies for the trouble. This is a known issue with network drives. As a workaround you can run insync-headless force_sync on the Insync folder periodically. We’re still working on resolving this issue.

Awesome, thank you for the reply. How often should I run that? I can do it via cron.

@Brian_Hellman: As often as possible would be ideal to maintain the real time syncing of files. It shouldn’t use a lot of resources from what I can tell so it should be fine.
