How can I delete local copies of files which are "one-way" synced?

I’m trying to find a friction-free way of deleting files from my local machine without deleting the copy on Google Drive. I’ll explain my use case:

I do most of my Photohop work on my desktop, where all files (in a certain directory) are synced to Google Drive. To prevent large Photoshop files from filling up my laptop’s drive, I don’t sync psd files to the laptop, but psd files on the laptop are synced to drive. This works great!

Over time though, I build up psd files from the times I do work on Photoshop from my laptop. Is there a way to delete these local files without removing them from drive? I can of course search for *.psd files in Explorer, but simply deleting them would remove the copies on drive as well as those on my laptop (unless I’m way off here) - not the desired outcome.

I know I could change the sync settings, delete the files, and reset the syn settings - but this seems cumbersome and prone to error as well. Any ideas or assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks,
BH

One-way sync is on the todo list but we don’t have a timetable.

Thanks for the request
