How to run a oneshot synchronization with no daemon running

I don’t run insync in daemon mode: whenever I’m backing up my hard drive I manually run the insync GUI and then quit it. I’d like to incorporate this into my current backup script. But then I’d need to run insync without accessing the GUI and without leaving the daemon running.

I tried the insync command line interface, but the insync start options all leave the daemon running. To effectively use insync in a backup script, it would be necessary to do a oneshot run of insync: synchronize and then quit, like the systemd oneshot services.

I couldn’t find anything related to this in the man page, perhaps I overlooked something.

I’m running insync 1.4.6.37092 on Xubuntu 18.04.

Hi @marcelpaulo,

At the moment, there is no built-in way to do this yet, but I’ve raised this to our engineer as a feature request.
