Insync-headless failing on Fedora

I installed insync-headless because the standard GUI version refused to sync unless forced, a bug that has been around for some time now (I reported it months ago).

At first, the headless version worked without issue. Now I get this:

$ insync-headless status
Traceback (most recent call last):
File “insync-headless.py”, line 19, in
File “click/core.py”, line 829, in call
File “click/core.py”, line 782, in main
File “click/core.py”, line 1259, in invoke
File “click/core.py”, line 1066, in invoke
File “click/core.py”, line 610, in invoke
File “ideskheadless/cli.py”, line 351, in status
KeyError: ‘subscription-expired’
[37545] Failed to execute script insync-headless

The version is 3.0.0.10585 on Fedora 32 (64-bit). My subscription to Insync is current according to the web page.

I currently don’t have a working version of Insync.

Hi @POC,

Could you try to refresh the subscription by running insync-headless subscription refresh and then restart? Let me know how it goes.

[poc@Bree ~]$ insync-headless subscription refresh
[poc@Bree ~]$ insync-headless status

[poc@Bree ~]$ insync-headless subscription show
Subscription: Office Trial (expired)
Machine ID: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (masked)

This seems to show that my subscription is “expired”. However I have had a lifetime sub for several years, and the web page dashboard shows my sub as up to date.

Also, the ‘insync-headless status’ run clearly has a bug and is dumping Python error messages.

Ah, I reviewed our email exchanges and it looks like you installed the 3.x headless version found here: https://www.insynchq.com/downloads?mt=server

This has a different licensing plan shown here which explains why it shows “trial”. Let me reach out to you via email so we can discuss your account in more detail (and avoid exposing any private info here!)
