When I turned on my Mac (Yosemite 10.10.4) this morning the system froze. I held the power button and restarted it. Next time it booted, I was presented with a Google login screen and InSync (v1.2.11) had lost all its sync settings. I had to start syncing my entire Google Drive (14GB) from scratch, renaming the old folder because InSync won’t inherit existing Google Drive folders.
Any ideas why this would happen? Is InSync any closer to being able to sync existing Google Drive folders without having to download everything from scratch?

Same issue except on Windows 7 and InSync v 1.2.13.35166. It asked me to login, created a new directory to store my files, and started to download 250GB of data. I’ve paused it, but I’m seriously panicking since I can’t work without my files and this is a major headache.
@cdpinker @Phil_Goldberg We are continually working to prevent corruption and enable syncing pre-existing local files, and aim to get that out at the very latest within the year. Thank you for your patience and we are really sorry for the huge inconvenience of re-syncing when database corruption happens.
Has this issue been resolved? I have the same problem. It seems like every few times I restart Windows 7 I have to sign in with my Google Account and re-sync my Google drive to a new directory. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Insync. I also tried to manually purge all installed files and then reinstalling. Nothing seems to work.
Thanks.

Hi @jstrahler, we’re continuing to work on this issue. Unfortunately, it’s difficult to say that this issue will be completely resolved, as the causes of DB corruption are unpredictable. However if you’re encountering it consistently, would you mind sending an email to support@insynchq.com with your logs and some information about your setup? Thanks!
