Insync not starting ubuntu 16.10

Hi

I have upgraded to Unbuntu 16.10 and finally got an opportunuty to update insync.

It does not appear to be starting, however. I get no icon in the task bar.

When I go to a terminal and try to start in manually with

insync start

nothing happens, no error code, nothing

when I use:

insync get-status

I get

Insync does not appear to be running, please start it first…

So, I am kind of stuck - any ideas?

Jonathan

Tagging our engineer @lpugoy and he will get back to you.

@Jonathan_MacWilliams: Apologies for the trouble. What is the output of insync start --no-daemon?

This is interesting…

./insync: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libpangoft2-1.0.so.0: undefined symbol: FcWeightFromOpenType

Not sure what it means

Thanks for your help!

Jonathan

@Jonathan_MacWilliams: I see. Are you using Insync 1.3.12? You can get it from www.insynchq.com/downloads in the Installers section.

Hi

I figured it out. During the upgrade to 16.10 Ubuntu, third party resources were disabled.

Since this happened, the installer failed.

I tried the nautilus debian - it failed

I then went through the repository instructions, and found that on step 2 the file was already present, but was commented out. I updated the file to Yakkety, and then did the manual install and everything worked great!

Thanks

Jonathan
