Is it necessary to resynchronize my google drive folder?

Hello!
I have my operating system on a partition other than my documents. The google drive synchronized with insync folder was located in my documents partition.
On the weekend I was forced to install another version of linux on my PC, so it reinstalled insync, but when I wanted to sync my insync folder, it says that can not choose because not is empty, select another location.
Do I need to resync the folder to another location? Is there any way to deal with this folder?

@Daniel_Del_Cid Yes. You need to re-sync everything. We still don’t have the file-compare feature that will allow you to sync to an existing Google Drive/Insync folder.

It will be available in version 1.4 or earlier. No ETA for the release.

Thank you.

How is it that for the last YEAR or longer you’ve been promising to make a release that will handle existing files and compare them so that when your software goes bonkers, us users don’t have to download gigabytes worth of data already on our drive? This isn’t something that would be nice to have - this has to be a requirement for the next version of this software and it needs to be released ASAP.

I understand that you are waiting for this feature for a long time. Our engineer are working hard to have this feature release soon. Ihis feature is included in version 1.3.

Thank you for your patience.
