Linux packaging with Snapd

Have you guys considered packaging for Linux using snap packages? Ubuntu’s snapd package manager has been gaining a lot of steam at the developer and distros level. Also snaps are supposedly extremely easy to maintain and use to offer betas.

Just food for thought.
