Hi,
I have installed Insync on my computer, as well as many others. When I create a folder in Drive, it is taking a very long (> 1 hour) before it appears on my local disk. Additionally, if I create a folder on my local disk, it takes >1 hour before it is pushed to Google Drive.
Is this normal sync time? How can I force a manual sync? This is just a folder, it’s not a file. It should be immediate.
For the purpose we are using Insync, we need the folders to sync in the least amount of time possible. Ideally, under 5-10 minutes. 1 hour sync time is too long, and it is completely unusable for our application.
Hi @Joe_Kolenda This seems to be an intial sync and it really takes a while (especially with larger files) and works best if syncing is not paused/stopped. The succeeding syncs after that will be much faster. I apologize for the trouble this is causing you.
Hi @jaduenas ,
This is not an initial sync. Insync was installed over two weeks ago, and the initial sync ran perfectly. I am just talking about creating one folder in Google Drive, and the amount of time it takes for Insync to sync that single empty folder to my hard drive.
What is the normal amount of time for an empty folder to sync from GD to a local drive?
Is there a trouble shooting guide somewhere, where I can look into network/firewall issues? Even if it takes 15 minutes for an empty folder to appear, it would meet our requirements.
