Preseed of Google drive and insync folder

Hello

What happens if both sides of insync are preseeded?
This is the topology as example:

  • on the server i have files A B C D E F that I would like to insync on my google drive,
  • but on my google drive I have the files B C D E G H I
    What will happens to
  • files present on both sides B C D E
  • files present on my server A F
  • files present on google drive G H I

Thanks for explanation on his matter that I call preseed.
This case could happens when

  • the insync windows user has been deleted (profile deleted), means the insync is not working anymore
  • the google drive users continues to add and modify files
  • the server user as well continues to add and modify files
  • the insync has to be reinstalled and restarted with already preseed on both sides

Regards

  1. Insync will use file matching to sync B C D E versus the ones available on your server so as no duplication will occur
  2. Insync will also sync A and F unless you use selective sync upon setup to not sync them
  3. Insync will also sync G H I unless you use selective sync upon setup to not sync them

Let me know if this answers your question

Thanks for you answer
So if I understand well:

  • A F will be synched from the server towards the google drive
  • G H I will be synched from the google drive towards the server
  • for B C D E ? which one on the server will go on the google drive, and which one of the google drive will go to the server? what are the criteria used by insync to decide? date of modification? I suppose if two files are identical on both side, they will be considered as “synched” and will not be send from one side to the other. Am I correct?

Regards

Could you please answer my question about B C D E files? which one is the winner and which one is the loser if files are different in date and in content on both side ??
