Shared drives under Linux

The website gives an example of a shared drive being synchronised to Google Drive. Is there any documentation on how to do this under Linux?

I would ideally like to take an existing shared drive and put it into Google Drive, preserving/mapping permissions in both directions. Users would then be able to continue working as before, with their access rights preserved, synching files they had access to on their laptops. Is this possible?

@IainB Please see how-to here: How to setup a network/external drive as your Insync folder

Let me know if this works.

Thanks Roald - I had a go setting it up, but I can’t see how the user mapping side of things is going to work. This just seems designed to work on a per-user basis?

Hi @IainB,

My apologies, I missed you post and replied longer than expected. How’s your setup now?

I may have misunderstood your question, can you please tell me more about this.

You may send us an email to support@insynchq.com

Thanks.
