Solution to slow filesync

Hi
We have a 2TB disk that we want to sync with drive and hence I thought I would create a new folder on the drive and get that to sync and then move all of the folder structure into that folder and it would sync up. This is working but painfully slow - with us changing files, we still have the same number of files to sync that we had 2 weeks ago. We have another usb drive which had files on and I have manually copied these up by dragging them into chrome and them uploading which happens relatively quickly. I am assuming that if insync wasnt trying to sync the massive amount of files, that the files from this usb drive would download (sync) very quickly to the 2TB drive. Hence my thought is - should i move the massive amount of folders out of the sync folder and then upload them in a browser before waiting for them to sync down to the sync folder - would this be quicker than my current method.

Thanks

Sorry for the super delayed response. Insync currently has a slow upload rate especially with dealing with bigger files (we are currently actively working on improving this) so your workaround seems like a good idea while Insync has not made the necessary updates for faster syncing.

@jaduenas Any ETA on a fix? the uploads are painfully slow almost a year later. Can your developers bypass your server and go straight to Google for the uploads?

We’re currently working on this for 2.0, we will do a public release once this is available

Any news on 2.0? months later my files are still not synced. 300k more to go.

what happens if we manually copy the files to the cloud? will we end up with duplicates or is Insync smart enough to not duplicate?
