Hello,

I am considering buying insync.

Looking for 2 features:

  1. I would like to be able to backup to google drive only files that I choose to backup. However I don’t want them to sync with my computer.
    I read a similar question from 2015 and the answer from the insync CEO was:
    “on our todo list”

  2. I would like been able to backup to external drives also , like USB drives. SSD, etc.

What is the situation now?

For your first point, it’s something we are looking into but not yet prioritizing as we are primarily a two-way sync tool. We’re still looking into how best to implement this.

We already allow syncing of external drives, but not backup for now.
