Synchronization of shared OneDrive-data

Tried to synchronize a rather large amount of data (~400GB) shared for me on Microsoft OneDrive. After a while sychronization interrupted. Upon checking on OneDrive online there was an error message displayed saying that the one who shared the data for me has violated certain (unspecified, though) data sharing restrictions and that the data is therefore unaccessable.
We tried to reduce the data volume, the number of shared files and directories - nothing helped. The data would be temporarely accessable but would disappear again after a couple of minutes. Only after I removed Insync again completely the problem went away.
Using the latest version of Windows 10 and OneDrive.

Can you expound what you mean by “The data would be temporarely accessable but would disappear again after a couple of minutes”? Do you mean that it disappears from the app but you can still see it in the cloud?
