Syncing after backup restore - won't reuse folder

So I set up awesome Insync on the iMac using a few aliases to work folder and being selective with the folders I downloaded.

iMac then had to go in for repair - full backup made.

Then bought Macbook, used Insync - great. Good job I sync’d those files.

The I get iMac back and do a full restore. Insync wants me to log in and go through account set again. Choose advanced and give it my existing original folder that has aliases and sync’d folder downloaded. But it won’t have it - says the folder has to be empty.

If I start over I’ll have to redownload everything and it won’t be using the lovely aliases to my work directory.

What do I do?

You need to re-sync everything as syncing to an existing Insync folder is not yet possible.

file compare feature will allow the syncing to an existing Insyn/Google Drive folder is not yet available.
It is scheduled for release in version 1.3.
