Ubuntu 17.10 is very slow

I am trying to insync about 100 GB of data on a new desktop. It’s been running for about 15 hours and has only staged about 11K folders. When I look at the app, I see that it’s sometimes 2-3 minutes per folder to stage it, and never less than a minute.

When I run vnstat -l -i eth0, is see the it’s about downloading 10 kbit/sec (sometimes as low as 1 kbit/sec). When I open BBC.com/news, it’s well over 3 Mbit/sec. So it’s two orders of magnitude too slow.

How can I speed this up. Speed tests from multiple sites show that I can download about 11 Mbit per second.

This is very frustrating.

This issue has been ongoing from what I can tell for nearly 3 years from the looks of this forum.

The feature is something we are resolving in a future 1.4 version.

Yes, but what can I do now? I have 237007 files to download, and about 100 GB. Since this morning, it has downloaded about 0.1 gigs. At this rate, it will quite literally take years to sync. I’ve been a customer for a long time, but this is ridiculous.
