Windows : Un-sync/ignore a folder and not a file extension

Hi,
It’s been months I’m waiting to be able to selectively un-sync local folders without deleting local files.
Unfortunately, It’s still deleting local folders when selectively un-sync, but it seems that it needs to be done through the ignore section now.
Problem is, I can’t make it ignore a folder, what-ever I’m typing in, converts it to a .*

How do I do to specify it’s a folder and not a extension it needs to scan to ignore?

Plus, this false down if you have multiple folder containing the same name but where some of them needs to be synced and some not.

Any help would be appreciated,
Stan

@sbrusse having the ability to extend beyond ignoring folder extensions is on our todo list

Great, this would be a huge add on.

Cheers

Hey @terpua

I know you said it’s on the to do list, but would you have any really really rough ETA as when this would be implemented?
Is it completely at the botton of the list?
Few weeks, few months?

Same as for the multiple destination folders, any ETA on those as well?

Although the exclude is more important for me ATM.

Thanks

@sbrusse No ETA as we had done this in the past and didn’t do very well :frowning:

But it’s not at the bottom of the list. I can say that extending the Ignore List feature is higher than the multiple destination folders.

I know it’s not what you want to hear but I hope you understand.

No worries,
I understand completely.
It’s just that I see such a difference using insync compared to the competitors, I just don’t want to use them anymore

Thanks for taking time for the support.

Cheers
