Accidental loss of files from the Insync folder on my computer

Here is what worries me a bit: Imagine that, due to some accidental event, a large number of files (several folders) accidentally get deleted from my local Insync folder without my realising it. I have in the past done mouse or keyboard fumbles that have caused severe problems and not been able to work out what happened.

  1. Is there some warning that says ‘This seems to be a lot of data. Are you sure?’

  2. How could I retrieve this data if the change goes through to Drive and they get removed there?
