All of this happened within the gdrive synched directory structure.
Using Windows explorer I created a new directory within the gdrive synched directory and moved another directory from elsewhere in the gdrive directory tree into it. The moved folder was successfully moved by windows explorer and then deleted by the insync client. I managed to recover the directory from within the gdrive web client.
“Funnily” enough that’s not what I’d expect to happen…
