500GB forced resync after 1.2

I’m syncing roughly 500gb of data,114000 files. In the old version the seed completed in about a week, after I installed 1.2 (not the latest version) it decided that it needed to check every file at about 1 file per second but seems that it restarts as days later it was only about 10,0000 files through … I thought maybe it was a bug with the initial release so installed the latest version available today and it started over again today? Should I just wait 45 hours and see this restart worked or is there a way to clean up the meta data and get it to re-hash faster?

@cladmonitor We have to investigate on this since when update to the latest version, it will just continue syncing from where is paused. Please send us your logs.db and out.txt file to support@insynchq.com. Please include the link of this post and the operating system you are running.

Thank you.

So I sent in the requested data and haven’t heard anything back, I’m now seeing that lots of people have this issue. Your software is not free or under an open distribution license so I’d really like to see some priority for us PRO users who are sitting here hoping this stuff starts to function.

If you’re having an issue with 1.2 then can we simply roll-back to an earlier version?

More info:
Seems as if its randomly restarting the sync, as I have logged on to the server to see it at 113,000ish then the next day its back at 114,000ish.

@cladmonitor I have forwarded your logs to our engineer. Our engineer will get back to to you soon.

Thank you.

Hey support, Im pretty annoyed that I havent heard anything back, this is still an issue even with the latest ver. 1.27. This seems to be the issue with “re-syncing” that you have been dealing with since the application was introduced. I have been playing around with it by limiting the data to be synced and see that it just tries the same folders over and over and over again (watching the queue) output. You need a mechanism for re-syncing when the client already has a copy of data, re-syncs for cloud applications are the IT/MIS guys worst nightmare, this issue will come up more and more as users/companies become more reliant on cloud data.

Please give me some glimmer of hope by giving me some sort of work around…

@cladmonitor Yes, we are working on file compare that solves this issue. No ETA but it will come out in 1.4 (or earlier).
