Brew uninstall insync doesn't remove the application data

I had installed insync using the brew command.

brew install insync.

Then I added my account and performed a partial sync of my Google Drive.

Then I proceeded to uninstall insync and deleted the synced folder. When I reinstalled insync it picked up the credentials from the previous installation and because the synced folder wasn’t there, it initiated a delete of the whole folder in Google Drive too.

Where is the application data that I need to delete for the reinstallation of insync to be like a new one?

Found that the application data for brew installed apps in the Library dir under the username and not the /Library dir.

I don’t see any reason for insync to reuse the configuration that was left behind by the previous installation.

Hi @Raghavendra_Talur,

My apologies for the trouble. Let me send this to our engineers so they are aware of what happened.

We preserve the config settings as many of our users need to temporarily uninstall at times when a quick fix is needed for smaller bugs.
