Can Insync please RETRY when it looses the base folder!

Hi

I am using Insync on a USB drive attached to a TP-Link router that is shared as a mapped network drive on Windows 10.

For whatever reason the mapped drive sometimes disconnects and Insync then halts and says the ‘base folder is missing’. I cannot understand why there is no obvious feature to automatically retry as the drive always comes back after a few seconds. I have to Pause and Restart the sync to get it going again!

Hi! Ideally it should pick up (the error should go away) when the USB is reconnected. Could you send your logs.db and out.txt files to support@insynchq.com with the link to this post? These can be found by clicking the 3 dots on the upper left > Help > Open log.

Hi Mia, Old thread, but was there a solution for this? I’m using Insync with Google Drive, syncing to a folder on my C: and every 5 or so minutes it seems to lose the ‘base folder’ and i need to click ‘retry’ manually. I’m syncing a somewhat large Google Drive (ie 500GB+) so this is inconvenient. It would be great if there is an automatic ‘retry’ feature that tries to re-find base folder after a set amount of time. Obviously my base folder is not lost as it’s just a folder created in the C: itself, at the lowest level of the directory.

Hi @Mitch_Blyth! If it’s within a local drive that is never disconnected, this issue should not be happening  But noted on the feature improvement as I can see how inconvenient it is to manually retry so often.

Please send your logs.db and out.txt files to support@insynchq.com and include the link to this post so we can investigate this error. You can find your logs by following this guide: Locating the log files | Insync Help Center

Thank you!
