Can't process () - unknown encoding: idna

I’m currently using InSync 1.4.9.37127 on Linux. It’s rejecting so many pictures with this error message: “Can’t process filename.jpg - unknown encoding: idna”

Some pictures taken on the same day, using the same or a different smartphone, are going through, but not all. Can someone please help?

I have the same issue for a pdf, following this thread.
