Hi,
TL:DR;
I have an insync consumer license associated with an account which no longer exists but the email address registered to that account now being associated to another google account which is a business account. So how do I continue using insync? Do I just add account from the insync interface and resync? Do I purchase a new personal license from insync? Or do I actually need to go ahead and purchase a license for insync pro? (Which is a waste since I have only a single account, not 3.)
Long Story
A couple of years ago, I’ve purchased an insync consumer license.
At the time, my google account was someuser@somedomain.com and not a gmail address. I had never had a gmail address actually and my google account had always been tied to my email address that I’ve hosted elsewhere.
Today, I’ve decided to change my email hosting and wanted to upgrade my google account to a business account and to my surprize, I learned that I cannot do that. I needed to remove my somedomain.com account from my personal google account first and also to be able to do that, get a personal gmail address. So I did that.
I deleted my somedomain.com address from that account and then went ahead to register a new google account which is set up as a business account.
Then, I thought, ok now I have two google accounts one of which I actually won’t have any use for, so went ahead and deleted that account.
So, I now have a business account that lists someuser@somedomain.com as my email address.
But then it hit me, this is actually a different account!!!
I now need to re-register eveywhere that I’ve tied my google account with.
And that includes insync.
So, how do I proceed?
Do I just add account from the insync interface and resync?
Do I purchase a new personal license from insync?
Or do I actually need to go ahead and purchase a license for insync pro? (Which is a waste since I have only a single account, not 3.)
