Debian jessie repo yields only wheezy

I’ve searched on this topic on the forum, but solution doesn’t fit this situation.

I’m running Debian 8.2 Jessie, and have added the following line to /etc/apt/sources.list.d/insync.list

deb http://apt.insynchq.com/debian jessie non-free contrib

I get no errors on ‘apt-get update’

When I install, apt-get installs the Wheezy version of insync. Here is the output of apt-get simulatng the install…and the output of apt-cache policy insync:

# apt -s install insync
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  insync
0 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Inst insync (1.3.5.36069-wheezy Insynchq, Inc.:apt.insynchq.com [amd64])
Conf insync (1.3.5.36069-wheezy Insynchq, Inc.:apt.insynchq.com [amd64])

# apt-cache policy insync
insync:
  Installed: (none)
  Candidate: 1.3.5.36069-wheezy
  Version table:
     1.3.5.36069-wheezy 0
        500 http://apt.insynchq.com/debian/ jessie/non-free amd64 Packages

I have installed, re-installed, purged, cleared all insync materials and hidden config folders several times system-wide with the same results.

I’ve been using insync with great results for over two years on Debian. Hoping you can help.

@pcallahan: Your output is correct, the wheezy version is used to provide Insync for all Debian versions. From our experience it is compatible and works well, so we use it.

Okay, thanks lpugoy. Your quick response is much appreciated. Might be helpful to indicate that fact – or change the .deb file’s name/version – on your downloads page. Just saying…
