The installation instructions for Linux are still incorrect. The apt-key package is gone, and the installation page badly needs updating. I have the same problem as Sam_Crawford had, and while insync does sync, I get an error every time I do a system update. Dpkg cannot configure insync. I deleted the files as suggested above, but it still seems broken.
@mia Is anyone on your team working to fix the installer?
@Sam_Crawford I am following up with our team, yes! It’s definitely causing a lot of issues for our users and I am going to keep an eye on this for all of you.
I was also hit by this bug when installing in my new computer… The proposed work-arounds have not worked for me. A solution would be greatly appreciated.
The good news is I installed the latest version, insync_3.9.5.60024-trixid_amd64.deb and the installation went perfectly.
I haven’t tried to connect it to my google drive and onedrive yet as it’s running in a VM.
Great job Insync Team and thanks!
Thank you for the kind words and continued support, @Sam_Crawford!
Waiting for more feedback regarding this build before we officially release it on the downloads page ![]()
Where did you get this version? It doesn’t seem to be available in the downloads page.
Hi @finotti
Apologies for any confusion on where to find the new version. It is currently a Forums release as we gather more feedback on how it performs on your machine. We will eventually release it on our downloads page ![]()
@Sam_Crawford thank you for sharing the link!
