Delta Updates to Google drive for Large files

Am I correct in saying that Google Drive does not support “Delta” syncing for large files? i.e. if you have a file of say 300mb and only a few bytes change, does google drive require a complete upload of the changed file?

I’m guessing that if Google does not support this feature there is no way that insync could either? If Google does support this feature do support it?

Hi there, any change in a file online is also changed simultaneously in the same file in your Insync folder. Let me tag our engineer @marte to help you answer your question.

Hello @mhoneywill, yes you’re correct that since Google Drive doesn’t support delta updates, Insync doesn’t support it, too.
