It would be nice to have a different parent folder icon when a sub-folder is synced.
I have to open every folder to see what I have synced.
Maybe have half of the parent folder blued.

Interesting. Partially synced parent folders should have a yellow check beside it. 
I replicated this setup and indeed the parent folder does not have a sync badge on it.
I’ve forwarded the case to our engineers for investigation – to see if this is a bug or an improvement in our sync badging. Thanks very much for reporting!!
