Insync should sync the executable flag (chmod +x
), just like Dropbox and others do.
@fnkr: Unfortunately files in Google Drive do not indicate if the executable flag set, so this is currently not possible. We could attach our own metadata, but it’s not included in our current plans.
Ok, then, if Google Disk/Drive is not supporting it on their side, Insync could not too, it makes sense. But if I’m using now Insync also for syncing my Dropbox folder (instead of original Dropbox client), why is executable bit propagated there? Because normal Dropbox client can synchronize it…
