Feedback on pricing

Hello. A little feedback re: the pricing. Maybe it’s of interest, maybe not.

Installed Insync a few days ago. I am all synced. I had some problems with autostart (I am on Wayland for the most part). It’s nice to have my Dropbox, Google Drive and Work Onedrive all under control by one application.

I was just about to buy a license for my own use.

I see that I need to buy a licences for each connected cloud account:

So, in my case, that’s personal Dropbox, work Dropbox, Work Onedrive, Personal Google Drive.

I really only use Dropbox by choice. The others are really a necessity from decisions made by others. I don’t use them much.

So, at least as far as I understand from reading the pricing this would cost 4 * 40 USD => 160 USD.

I can set up all of the individual agents in only a few minutes on the other devices. There’s just no way I can justify what is really only a luxury.

It’s a nice product, just doesn’t do enough for my particular use cases to justify that price. I would like to have one mechanism to sync “all the things” across my macOS laptop, my Linux laptop, a Linux workstation and a couple of servers. I don’t need any of the special features.

I’m sure there are others for whom this is fantastic and easily justifiable.

Thank you and good luck!

Not 100% sure since I don’t own a personal license, but I don’t think you need to buy a new license for each account. It will use one of the accounts as the “primary” – i.e. the account the license is tied to, but you should be able to add additional accounts in the client.

Hi @Pavel_Zakopaylo, this license type is likely a legacy plan, meaning it is no longer being offered on our pricing page. Thank you for your assist here, nonetheless!

Hi @simonm! Thank you for your feedback, it means a lot that you took the time to write this down and let us know how your experience was like. We will be assessing our license model in the near future to make it more convenient for multi-account users like you.
