I synced a file between 2 computers, one running OS X and one running Linux.
I created a file in my OS X folder (a .yml file to port a conda environment - essentially a plain text file). The file showed up in google drive and on my Linux computer, but it was blank on google drive and the Linux computer. It was not blank in the (original) OS X version of the folder.
I ended up having to email it to myself… which kind of defeats the purpose of Insync.
I don’t know if this is a conda-specific issue… or if I set up my syncing funny somehow? To replicate:
-sync a folder with two computers
-run conda env export > environment.yml on the OS X computer in your synced folder
-the file shows up on google drive and the Linux computer, but it is blank
