"Folder" on Google mapped to both "Folder" and "Folder (2)" on Mac

I maxed out my Google One space, now fixed.
At the time, files in “Folder” on mac were being copied to “Folder” on Google.
Now, I have “Folder (2)” on Mac, and insync 3.1.2.4875 is busy replicating EVERYTHING (the whole hierarchy) under “Folder” up to Google “Folder” and BACK DOWN to “Folder (2)” on my Mac.

Experimenting, if I touch a new file in “Folder”, it replicates up and down and appears also in “Folder (2)”, and vice versa. More unfortunately, if I remove a file in either side on my Mac (to eliminate the dups), the copy in the (2) side is also removed.

So now I have two copies of everything, and if I delete one copy, I will apparently lose the other!

Short of making a fresh copy in a new location, is there any way to fix this?

Hi! My apologies for the huge trouble. Could you send your logs to support@insynchq.com with the link to this post so that I can escalate this further to our engineers? Please also include the following files in the folder:

  • logs.db
  • out.txt
  • data folder
  • live folder

If these are too big for an attachment, feel free to send us a link so we can download these.
