Gentoo insync doesn't start

I just bought a personal subscription and am running version 3.8.7.50507-r1 from Gentoo overlay ppfeufer-gentoo-overlay. insync start does not report an error. However, every other command reports Insync doesn't seem to be running. Start it first.. Here is the output from insync start --no-daemon.

Hi @cfgauss! I have responded to your email as well. For reference, I responded that if the issue persists after restarting Insync, I’ve requested you to email your logs to me
