Google Drive: Can't see "computers" synced via offical client

Sorry if this has already been covered, but I couldn’t find any info.

I’m trying to setup a 2 way sync to specific folders backed up on a constant basis from another computer via the official client.

The layout is:

  • Mac: Work computer, I need this backed up on a constant basis. Using the official Drive client.
  • Windows: Home computer, I want to setup a 2 way sync to 2 specific folders backed up from the Mac.

I can’t find the computer anywhere from within the Insync client. I’ve attempted to make shortcuts from said folders into the main Drive folder, but that doesn’t work - it just leaves me with shortcut files.

Any way to make this happen? I don’t want to use the Insync client on Mac both to avoid a resync, and due to the memory leak issues of the Mac client.

Hi @jasonridesabike!

The Computers section is exclusive to the official Google Drive sync app. In order for Insync to see these files and be able to sync them from Mac > Google Drive web > Windows, you would need to upload those files to My Drive/Shared with me/Shared Drives.
