High CPU usage Windows 10 on return from suspend

Hi all -

I consistently get high CPU usage on Windows 10 after returning from suspend. Insync consumes close to 100% of one core in my older Dell E4300 laptop (Core 2 Duo), putting it on the verge of overheating and I must close and restart Insync to remedy. Now using version 1.2.18.

Happens whether updating a file sync or not. After restarting Insync, CPU usage drops to near 0% unless syncing, then just a few %.

Otherwise very pleased with Insync, using as well on my desktop Linux box (Ubuntu 14.04, quad-core) which returns from suspend with no issues.

Anyone else have a similar issue?
Mickey

I am also having a similar issue on Windows 10 as well with insync version 1.2.18. My laptop is an HP G61 (Dual Core) running Windows 10 Pro. I always have to close insync then exit then open it again to remedy the issue.

Just a followup - version 1.3.2 is a great update but this problem persists.

Hi guys, can you kindly send in your logs and the link to this post to support@insynchq.com?

Will tag our engineer @dipesh here as well

@Mickey_Reynolds, @Sacha_Obado: Are your Insync folders set up on non-local/external drives that get reconnected upon resuming from suspended state?

Thanks,
Dipesh

Hi Dipesh,

In my case the answer is no. On my Win10 laptop, I am syncing 2 different Drive accounts to these 2 folders:

C:\Users\mickey\GDrive-GMail
C:\Users\mickey\GDrive-Home

And I just emailed my log file just following the latest high CPU incident to support@insynchq.com.

Thanks for following up on this!
Mickey
