How do I delete old Teams Account?

I used to have the Teams version and upgraded to the Developer version when the new pricing model came into force as it was better suited to my needs. I’m using Linux.

I have one old client that I used the Teams Shared Drive facility with but obviously that is no longer available to me.

So how do I remove it from within the new Developer version?

If I delete the Shared Drive folder I get warnings that this folder no longer exists. And more annoyingly I keep getting notifications when my client’s staff update any files in the drive even if I tell Insync to ignore the warnings.

I really hope that the answer is not “delete everything and start again” as I have a lot of accounts :wink:

TIA

Hey @Brackenhill_Mob! This seems like a UX bug. Per our engineer, if there aren’t any items in a missing base folder, then the prompt shouldn’t show up.

A workaround for you at the moment would be to disconnect the Shared Drives configuration. You would need to do the following:

  • Remove your account from Insync
  • Remove the Shared Drive folder you won’t be using
  • Re-add the account and select the same Base Folder for your My Drive

However, given our engineer’s insight, let me know if you’d like to wait for the updates before doing anything! :slight_smile:

@mia

I wish I’d seen your edited version of your reply! I’d have waited for a new release that fixes this bug.

Anyway acting on the one I received via email I deleted the account and now when I try and recreate it I receive

“Sorry, something went wrong there. Try again.”

from Google and cannot log in.

I’m truly screwed without this account as it’s my main one with all my backups. How do I log back into Google? I’m on Linux using Brave (a Chromium based browser)

Thanks

Hey @Brackenhill_Mob,

Apologies, I should have entered a new reply instead so you would’ve been immediately notified. I will keep that in mind.

Are you able to use Google Chrome as your default browser for a few moments to see if adding the account and logging in via this alternate browser helps?

@mia

I got around the problem by copying the Insync url from Brave to Firefox - Firefox logged me in to Google OK so I’m good to go :wink:

@Brackenhill_Mob Appreciate the update :slight_smile: Feel free to reach out here or through email (support@insynchq.com) if you need anything else!
