How to rebuild or fix a broken Linux install?

I run insync on a few linux machines with no issue. On one of my Mint machines, I can’t seem to get it to work properly. It keeps complaining about missing base folder. The folder is there, however. I tried removing and reinstalling (and removing base folder(s) as well), but it insists on remembering that it used to be configured for that folder and keeps complaining that it’s missing.

So I tried pointing it to a different base folder and selecting all of them and saying sync. Nothing happens. No more error, but nothing at all gets synced.

Any thoughts? Thank you.

EDIT: I think it’s working now.
