Initial sync not working

Hi,
I formatted my Linux PC and installed Kubuntu 24.04.1LTS. Insync is 3.9.4.60020-noble. I connected Insync to my Google Drive as usual and selected to sync everything.

Now all the folders have a small blue circle with arrows that usually mean “I’m syncing, please wait” but nothing happens. The app icon has a green dot that usually mean “Ok, all synced” but the local folder remains empty.

The out.txt logfile is full with messages like this:

js: Access to XMLHttpRequest at ‘https://us.i.posthog.com/e/?ip=1&_=1726134574913&ver=1.110.0&retry_count=1&&&&&&&’ from origin ‘file://’ has been blocked by CORS policy: The value of the ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header in the response must not be the wildcard ‘*’ when the request’s credentials mode is ‘include’. The credentials mode of requests initiated by the XMLHttpRequest is controlled by the withCredentials attribute.

I tried also to remove the drive from the account and add it again. No luck.
I tried also to remove .config/Insync .cache/Insync and .local/share/Insync and configure Insync agan from scratch but didn’t work either.

What else can I try to make synchronization work?

Hi @rvidmar! the posthog issue is benign as confirmed by our engineers, and was caused by a change that PostHog deployed – https://posthog.com/questions/cors-error-decide-endpoint.

As for the stuck syncing issue, can you see a “Syncing…” on the lower right and if so, do you see anything like “Uploading 0 of X bytes”?

No, no message.

@rvidmar Please send your logs.db and out.txt files to support@insynchq.com with the link to this Forums post. These 2 files can be found in ~/.config/Insync.

Thank you!
