I reformatted my mac this week. I added two of my google drive accounts to insync no problem. However the 3rd one I have a lot of files ( 9tb ~ 1 million files maybe?)…
and it just stays on the blue screen.

I have the same issue. In my case it’s an Google Apps for Work account. Had it running for over four hours now. Could it be that my Drive account isn’t allowed to be connected to by 3rd party apps? And if so, how can I find out if that’s the case? Do I have to ask the admin?
Thanks in advance.
I am the admin,
and I have done it in the past ( before I reformatted the machine)
I see… So this has to be an issue on Insync’s side.
Let’s see what they’ll make of it.
@Nicolas_Reibnitz @ricyoung There has been at least one report of a similar issue with a Google Apps account, and it was resolved by performing the captcha (while signed in to the account) at https://accounts.google.com/DisplayUnlockCaptcha. Could you try it?
@ricyoung Are there a very large number of files located just at the root “My Drive” folder? Insync does retrieve all of these files during setup (but not their descendants).
No… 18 items ( 17 folders + 1 one file)

and I have good internet speed ( 150 megs+ down)
@ricyoung I see. In that case, could you kindly send in your logs as well as the Insync “dbs” folder to support@insynchq.com so we can take a closer look? Thank you!
The captcha idea didn’t work for me either. I’ll send you the log files as well.
Thanks in advance.
I sent the logs… anyone else figure a solution?
Not me. BUT!.. I just installed Unclouded on my android phone. This great little app gives you a lot of information about your cloud storage. It was not only able to access my Google Drive account but synced the file list really fast. Which proves to me that it is indeed possible to access my account from 3rd party apps. I could see folder sizes (great thing indeed), file count in different folders and it even listed a lot of duplicate files without taking more than a couple of seconds.
If you just want an app to sort through your data on Google Drive or other cloud services I can highly recommend this app.
But as I need a desktop sync client I’m still eager to learn about solutions from Insync.
Here is the link to the app to test if your account can be accessed via 3rd party apps. Provided that you have an android phone or something.
