Initialization Failed! Linux

After restoring my system with SystemBack in Ubuntu 18.04, Insync is now showing Initialization Failed!

If I remove my account and re-create it, will I risk losing any files?

If there is a better way to do this, please advise.

Note: there was a link for solving this issue at https://forums.insynchq.com/t/how-to-resolve-the-initialization-failed-account-error/7427 When I try and open the link I get the following message Sorry, you don’t have access to that topic! even though I am logged in.

There is also the option for logging in via your App’s Help Center, is this a possible alternative solution?

Again main concern is that no files are lost or corrupted.

Hi @Cleauid,

Here’s the updated link for common issues and bugs: https://help.insynchq.com/resolving-and-reporting-issues/general/common-issues-and-bugs

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you for the updated link! I followed the instructions, which were clear and straightforward to follow.

It appears to have worked perfectly. It looks like I did not even have to re-select the selective syncs, I deliberately did not select the one folder and later found it to be showing up again as a synced folder in the App. :slightly_smiling_face:
