I use Insync to sync my Google drive on 2 computers. I had to send one of them in for tech support and in order to protect confidential files I uninstalled Insync from the target computer, then deleted the synced folders.
When I received the repaired computer back, I reinstalled Insync on that computer, but I had yet to identify folders for the sync to begin anew.
Somehow, Insync located the old (now empty) folders and proceeded to completely delete my Google Drive content!
I’m working through Google to restore the files but don’t understand how this could have happened without me re-instigating the sync after newly installing the software.
