InSync deletes all files on GD when external drive is disconnected

Hi all,

I’m wanting to sync a few external drives to Google Drive using ‘local selective sync’. Insync does this, and does it well, however when the drive(s) is ejected/unmounted from the computer, inSync deletes all content that was uploaded from this drive in Google Drive and forgets that the drive was ever connected (i.e. when you plug the HD back in, you need re-connect the drive and start uploading from scratch again).

???

I assume this is a bug? Or am I missing something here?

Any help would be appreciated.

This doesn’t seem normal behavior. Insync should just be showing a prompt or an error when this happens. Can you send in your logs with the link to this post to support@insynchq.com?

Please include the following files in the folder:

  • logs.db
  • out.txt
  • data folder
  • live folder

If these are too big for an attachment, feel free to send us a link so we can download these.
