Insync for Fedora 45

Hello, Fedora 45 reached Beta status yesterday. I know it is kinda early, but would you please be so kind and create an Insync Repository for Fedora 45 and maybe even Ubuntu 26.10?

Any news on this? Fedora 45 is just around the corner.

Hi. This is to let you know that the current insync (insync-3.9.11.60043-fc44.x86_64) works on Fedora 45 unchanged. So, a simple recompile + creation of Fedora 45 repo should do,

Okay, and what about Ubuntu 26.10?

Apologies for the late reply here!

For future OS version updates, you may install via Flatpak: Insync for Flatpak — Beta

This is still in beta, but we are working on officially releasing it since it’s been one of the long-standing requests from our Linux community. Thank you!

Fedora 45 just reach RC state.

I’m running Insync for Fedora 44 on Fedora 45, and it seem to be working just fine.

BTW, is there any plan to make the Flatpak version available on Flathub, @mia ?

Sorry, I don’t get it. Will the Fedora/Ubuntu versions not get updated for newer versions anymore? And we should use the beta1 Flatpak version instead?

@mia can you please clarify, if there will be no Fedora 45 Repository?

I will forward your questions and concerns to our Linux Team! I’ll be back with an update

please do, and I acknowledge that maintaining repositories is more work than one flatpak, but I am not very fond of using flatpaks, due to dependency concerns.

100% understandable! You all raised very valid questions-- everyone has their own preferences and we want to make sure Insync for Linux is easily accessible! We appreciate the feedback.

I’ll update this post as soon as I have a reply from the Linux Team

So the Ubuntu 26.10 release is now 10 days old. It would be really nice to get an updated repo for Ubuntu and Fedora.

As is wrote elsewhere: The flatpak version is beta 1, uses an outdated runtime and does not include the file manager plugins. You don’t really want us to use this version instead of a deb/rpm version?
