Okay, I have been running Insync for several days now trying to sync a pretty large amount of data (around 500GB or so). I do have Google Fiber which I assumed would speed up the process. However, it still hasn’t synced!
Also, and more importantly, I have found several of my files deleted! I assume it is syncing off of what is on the server instead of what is on my hard drive. What is going on? I have disabled it from running until I can get this rectified. I’m going to be really angry if I have lost a lot of data. I am going through right now to see what the damage is.
It for sure deleted almost 100gb of my files!! I’m so relieved for the insync trash. However, this is a VERY tedious process. Unfortunately I was in between backup systems so I have no other back up. What is going on with your program that it would do this? I am going to need a refund ASAP. Maybe I will look at this when you have these bugs fixed but I just can’t use the software right now. It hardly is a backup software if it deletes my files.
@Jonathan_Baldwin First off, we really apologize for this unexpected and worrying behavior of Insync. Kindly send us a support email so we can process your refund.
Are you running Insync on any other machines, or just this one? Could some other software have caused the files to be trashed on Drive? That could be one possible explanation.
Or did you selectively unsync some of the files? That’s another reason for files to be moved to the Insync trash.
