Insync not listed in other software [FIXED]

Sorry to bother you, but I did a fresh install of Ubuntu 24.04. I installed Insync noble and when I run updates via the command line I get no error messages. What I don’t understand is that in other updates all I see is Noble backports and Microsoft Edge, and Ubuntu Pro, I do not see Insync. BTW Insync is working. Are you no longer listing Insync in other software. Using Insync 3.9.4.60020

I’ll ask our Linux Team about this

Here are 3 pictures for you to see. Using Ubuntu Ubuntu 24.04 If you can see all 3 images, you will see that “software and updates” does not list it. “Insync is the current version”, and “terminal updates has it listed”. It appears to be syncing properly, but I am an “OCD idiot.”

Hi @hewjr100

Can you try modifying /etc/apt/sources.list.d/insync.list and remove [signed-by=/etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/insynchq.gpg]? (also remove the square brackets)

Thank you very much, this worked.

The fix put Insync in my other software app, but now new files and folders I created did not get snyced. I had to go to my onedrive in my browser and upload the folders and files.

Any way I am dual booting with Windows 11 24H4, so I removed Ubuntu from my system. Sorry but I will not be using Insync anytime soon.

@hewjr100, could you confirm if you were uploading the files in the correct base folder on your machine?

Yes. When I installed FC40 version on Fedora 41 it froze. I then removed Insync, and rmoved all folders and they were where they were supposed to be.

@hewjr100 My apologies for the trouble! We seem to be encountering a dependency issue for the F41 build, which our Linux Team is currently working on.

Please let me know if you require further assistance with this one!
